This past week has been incredible. Watching your work being shared and viewed makes everything I do and everything I want to do worth that much more. It’s hard to believe that I only have 22 days left here, and I have so much that I want to get done. These stories (including Changing Tides, Nearshore I&M, ASLC sea bird surveys) are truly the most exciting stories I’ve ever gotten to work on, and all I can hope is that I can finish the videos in time. My heart is going to break a little just when leaving this place, but it will break even more if I can’t get finished products done that I’m happy with. I truly want to share these stories, because as a photojournalist I believe that they are important. I hope I get to to so.

Instead of blogging here about my Katmai Brown Bear Collaring experience, I wrote a piece for Katmai National Park. I hope that it gives a glimpse of what it felt like to be there, and accurately portrays my experience.

Katmai National Park’s Facebook page has shared the blog post, as well as CMU’s department of journalism.

I’ve also had a number of Facebook photo shares, both related to the project and not. It’s still incredible to see how many people can be reached through social media.
