


Jessica Brockert, 19 of Macomb, Michigan is entering her second year on the Chippewa Club Softball team of Central Michigan University. Softball has been a part of her life since she was 4 years old. In addition to the current season, she has played over 20 seasons of the sport and plans to continue throughout her college years. She hopes to casually play in the “old man beer” league after college, and for see’s sharing the sport she loves with friends and family throughout her life.
Lauren Rabine, 19 of Midland, Michigan battles the nerves of leaving home for the first time in a big way. She leaves for the United Kingdom in seven days for a study abroad trip that will last four months. As a student that commutes daily from home to Saginaw Valley State University, studying history and secondary education in a new country will be a completely new experience. “The scariest part is that I am so far away from home, I can’t come home if I want to until the semester ends,” Rabine says. She will be traveling over 3,500 miles away in less than seven days.
Chelsea Robinson, 22 of Battle Creek, Michigan has seen 22 artists in concert over the past six months including Aerosmith, Ed Sheeran and One Direction. Live music has become one of her favorite things in life. “I like how pure it is, it brings together good music and good people,” Robinson says. To have memorabilia, she keeps her ticket stubs in pristine condition and collects posters from some of the concerts. When asked if she plans to continue to attend concerts she responded with “for ever and ever and ever, or until I lose my hearing. Sh*t I’d probably go even if I did lose my hearing.”
